Announcing the Dream Soup™ series

|
Your Dream Stories may also Help Support Dream Research! The goal of the series is not only to inspire dreamwork, but to support dream research. The details involved in publishing the series in a way that furthers these goals, are still in the works, but the plan is that the net proceeds will go toward dream research – through a grant program that exists as a partnership between the DreamScience foundation and the International Association for the Study of Dreams. So by offering your dream stories and time to this effort, you may also be donating to the much needed research of dreams and dreaming. |
| We are looking for dreams stories that are written in a style much like you would tell your story to a friend. It is best to begin with some background or introductory description of what was going on in your life at the time of the dream, perhaps the emotional situation or circumstance that the dream eventually helped you overcome. Some of you will have dreams that came from others yet it effected your life. If it was your dream, however, describe the dream briefly, the parts of the dream that were important to the situation and the changes you made. Describe the dream setting, perhaps the emotional environment of the dream and how you felt in the dream if they seemed important. Discuss how you came to understand the dream and then how it impacted or changed you, your awareness or your life. Tell it from the heart level, describing how it changed your thoughts, emotions or behaviors, what actions you took and how the dream inspired you to do so. Try to tell your story in the range of 600-1200 words. Suggest at short title for your story in just a few words (sometimes 1 to 4 words are most meaningful). Write an author biography (no longer than 60-100 words) that you would want us to print in the book. If you wish to remain anonymous you may do so as well. Email your dream story to submissions@dreamsoup.org If your story is approved we will let you know that it is being placed in queue for eventual editing into one of the book releases. Dream stories will be collected over a period of time as each book evolves into a final version so don’t be discouraged. After your article is edited, we will return it for your review before it goes into final copy. An author agreement will be provided during the editing process. |
